Reporting a wrong symbol
This is the most useful thing you can send. Include the character you typed, the font version you had selected, and the symbol you expected.
Every report gets checked against the actual font file rather than against memory, so a real mistake gets fixed and a false alarm gets explained.
Before you email about output that looks wrong
Two things explain almost every report, and both are quicker to check than to wait for a reply.
- Empty boxes usually mean your device lacks the font rather than a bad translation. Saving the result as an image sidesteps it.
- Nonsense letters usually mean the message was written in a different font version. Try Wingdings 2, Wingdings 3 or Webdings.
What we cannot help with
We did not make the Wingdings or Webdings typefaces and we cannot supply the font files. Those belong to Microsoft, and this site is not affiliated with them.
We also cannot recover a translation you did not save. Nothing you type is stored, so there is no copy on our side to look up.
Response times
This is a small site run by one person, so replies are not instant. Expect a few days, and longer for anything that needs the character maps rebuilt.
